Barnes & Noble Readers Review "The Cubit":

Review 1:
"I found The Cubit to be one of the most character-driven stories I have ever read. Every character I met, I felt like i knew them. They were my friends; I'd met them somewhere in my town, in high school, at the bank. My favorite character was.well, I can't say. That's like asking to pick your favorite friend. Joel or Janine or Billy or Steph.I really can't say. Even Marcy had my mind and my loins working overtime.

The evil in the story built over time and I never knew where or when it was going to hit. I wanted to save all of the characters from it, my friends, but I couldn't. I was happy and I was sad all at the same time. I'm telling you reading the Cubit was like being on an emotional freight train. When it was all over, I was out of breath, but, still, I knew it wasn't all over. There's two more books coming out and I can't wait.

I offer you this advice. Read it! The Cubit will attack your false sense of security about the future."

Review 2:
"This isn't the type of book I normally read, but once I started the book, I could not lay it down. This is an amazing author who leaves you with a lot to think about.....what is to come next? I can not wait for his next book. I know it also will be thrilling. I am so glad I read this book!!!"

Review 3:
"This book was a wild ride. It starts out with the action right away. There was a lull in the middle that was a bit slow, but once you got past that my goodness did the action pick back up. The plot and the supernatural unraveling the whole way till finally the climax where we get the big reveal. And even then we are left with only part of the story, making me want to know more. It left off with the fate of some of our heroes in question, a new journey for answers and the fate of the world beginning, and a foreshadowing of evil. In other words, I loved it and am very excited for the next installment of the trilogy."

"A great read with appreciation for the obvious research and particular enjoyment of the character development. This is not only a “don’t put me down” book but also has the story line for a spine-tingling movie. Congrats!"

Review 3:
"I loved the book, and I know the author personally, which made the book even better, great job Pete. Only got to read maybe 6-8 pages at a time but couldn’t wait each time to read those next 6-8 pages. wish next book was already here but will definitely be on the list for the next and the next."

ABOUT THE CUBIT:

When a small island community rises up against what it believes is a conspiracy to corrupt the town with casino gambling, the residents find that the real threat comes from an ancient Evil within the Cubit. Soon no one is certain who is real and who is dead.

In this first book of The 2012 Trilogy:

The Professor brought the Cubit to Janine Bender’s house in Kansas a year ago where it was released onto her farm, destroying everything. For months she thought she was insane until, finally, she found Paradise: Port Aransas, Texas, a town of outer beauty and inner secrets, an island in the Gulf where she was always destined to be.

The CubitBilly Jo Presser, an MIT dropout and the town's "second-best" surfer, has become a part of Janine’s destiny. But as a scientist how could he believe? He’d lost his faith a long time ago. Now, he is forced to face a world without academic principal, with no figures or facts or proof. Now, he must confront the ultimate truth, one that hurtles him and Janine on a mind-twisting journey predestined by an ancient countdown toward Armageddon.

The Djed

Now on a mission to find out what the professor was looking for in Sedona, the survivors from Port Aransas continue their journey, unknowing and in constant conflict with their own denials about the end of the world. They soon find that to raise the Djed is to become invincible but the search for the ceremonial hall abandoned by the ancient Anasazi tribe just might kill them first.

Who can they really trust? What waits for them in Mexico? At Chichen Itza? In Puerto Morelos? What do the X-Games and a pharmaceutical company have to do with Armageddon?

Something out there is making sure that destiny is served fresh and cold and dead.

The 2012 TrilogyLISTEN: The Author explains the 2012 Trilogy

The world is scheduled to end on December 21, 2012.

Believe it?

The Mayan civilization did. In fact, nearly 2,000 years ago, in an era of existence rivaling those cultures in Europe of the same time, the Mayans archived the End Date in a phenomenal artifact called the Long Count...the Mayan calendar. This calendar as it was conceived recorded the Earth's Fifth Age which will end on 12-21-12...in our Lifetime.

Billy Jo Presser (and the rest of us) have until then.
